JAMB SELLS OVER 1.6 MILLION UTME FORMS FOR 2013

Schoolnews9ja can confirm that, The Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board (JAMB), on Thursday reveal that over 1.6 million forms had been obtain for this year’s Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) slate for April 27, 2013.

The Public Relations Officer of the Board, Mr Fabian Benjamin, said this in a telephone interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos.

Benjamin told NAN that, over 90.000 candidates would be tested with the newly introduced Computer Based Test (CBT) and Dual Based Test (DBT).
He also reveal that, the board has conclude all necessary arrangement that would certify a hitch free examination across the 3,000 centres nationwide.

Fabian also assert that, the sale of forms is probable to end on Friday March 15, while the website used for the sale will be closed on March 24.

He said, “We have concluded arrangements for the takeoff of the 2013 UTME examination which will commence on April 27, for candidates for the Pencil Paper Test (PPT).

“We are currently trying to adjust the examination date for the Computer Based Test (CBT) and Dual Based Test (DBT) candidates because the date for coincides with the 2013 May/June WAEC and NECO examination dates,” he said.

Further Speaking, Fabian reveal that, at present, candidates have the option of Pen on Paper Test and Computer-Based Test or the dual-based question display. “But as from 2015, the UTME exam mode will become computer-based test,” he said.

Hopes of many candidates wishing to sit for the 2013 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination may have been dashed, as The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has said that the sale of its form will end today, 15th March, 2013, while the website use for registration will be close on March 24.
