Admission forms into Post-Basic Diploma Programme in Paediatric Nursing University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital 2013/2014 Academic Session now on sale.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified Nurses for admission into a-12 calendar month Post-Basic Diploma Programme in Paediatric Nursing.
Admission Requirements
Candidates for admission into the programme must possess the following:
=>.SSCE or its equivalent with 5 credits in not more than two sittings. These must include English Language, Mathematics, Biology (not Health Science) and two other credits.
A combination of NECO and WAEC is acceptable.
=>.Registered Nurse/Midwife with a minimum of 4 years post qualification experience,
=>.Credit in Physics and Chemistry, B.Sc Nursing or B.NSc with a PGDE or the equivalent is an added advantage.
Selection of candidates will be based on academic qualification and performance at the entranceexamination and oral interview
Closing Date for Submission of Application Forms
Completed application forms with photocopies of all relevant documents are to reach the Coordinator of the school at the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital on or before Wednesday 31st July, 2013.
Method of Application
Candidates should pay a non-refundable fee of N5,000:00 (Five thousand naira)only to STERLING BANK (UPTH BRANCH) A/C No. 0008832930 and present the teller at the office of the Bursar, for the issuance of anofficial receipt and on presentation of evidence of such payment, obtain an application form from the Administrative Office of the School of Post-Basic Paediatric Nursing.
Selection Interview
*.ENTRANCE EXAMINATION will hold in the SPBPN AUDITORIUM on Wednesday 14th August, 2013 at 10.00am prompt. Candidates should bring along writing materials for the examination.
=>Mobile phones are not allowed into the examination hall.
*.Candidates are to bring along original copies of their certificates and valid practicing licenses for the interview
Note
*.Candidates are to make necessary arrangement for their accommodation and feeding throughout the duration of the interview.
